Velu and Kirthana

Dear Anu, Vishaak, Dr.Velu's parents, friends and coworkers, we are very sorry and deeply saddened. I am  a classmate of Dr.Velu in Chinmaya Vidhyalaya in Coimbatore. He made a mark on me and many of our classmates when he was as young, and he did so much later and throughout his life even when we were not in frequent contact with each other. He is an inspiration to me, and to others in how he went on to become a Doctor after being a top notch Engineer for long, and how he lived a rich life dedicating precious time for his son and family, while also balancing his interests including his recent road trip to the Arctic Ocean. I remember and cherish my memories of being his partner for a science exhibition during middle school and more recently a visit by Dr.Velu, Anu and Vishaak to our home in Raleigh a few years back. A great man gone too soon. And a great loss for all of us. Dr.Velu will be missed.

I'm very sorry to hear of Dr. B's passing. He was so kind and caring to my late other and always took time to answer every question. She said to him "I don't like doctors, but I do like you!" My condolences to his family, friends and coworkers at Mercy. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.

I am deeply saddened to hear this. My sincere condolences to Anu and his family. Not only was he my batch mate from undergrad but we also stayed together in UIUC. I have so many fun memories from those times from going on many different road trips to happy hours in movie theaters watching many classic movies. He is the one who taught me how to drive. I will miss him. 

My deepest condolences to Velu's family. I first met Velu in St Louis through mutual friends.  I was so excited to meet a fellow tamilian and we instantly hit it off and had some great memories in St. Louis.  His energy was infectious!
