Veloris's obituary
Veloris Elaine Ditto, 88, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away on January 26, 2026. Veloris was born on April 23,1937, in Coleman, Texas under the union of Frank Edward Ditto and Estelle Fossett Ditto. Veloris graduated from Jordan High School in Los Angeles, CA.
Veloris was preceded in death by her sons, Nelson Wilson and Charles Everidge; siblings, Leila Spicer, Betty McGowan, Emma Harrison, June Terry, Frank E. Ditto, Jr., Myra Ditto and Anita Skinner.
Veloris was the mother to two sons and is survived by six daughters, Cherie Ivy, Stephanie White, Denise Stevenson, Tammie Wilson, Cecili Allen, and Kimberly Mayfield. She was grandmother to 17 grandchildren, two of whom she was especially close to, Dimitri Smith and Shane Smith. She also had a host of great-grandchildren. Most importantly, Veloris was a servant of Jehovah, who she served faithfully until she fell asleep in rest.
Veloris had a beautiful voice and loved singing praises to Jehovah from the Kingdom Melodies. She loved playing Dominos, she really enjoyed a game of Tennis, and was a great Chess Player. She will truly be missed and we eagerly await the time when Jehovah calls her name from his memory during the promised resurrection - Acts 24:15; John 5:28, 29.
