Velma's obituary

Velma Louise Helwig-Black, of Bryan Texas, died unexpectedly on March 29,2022 from  a short illness. She was 89 years old. The family is deeply saddened by her sudden death. Velma was born on February 26,1933, attended LaSalle High School and Bryant and Stratton  Business School and lived in New York State for the first half of her life and lived the second half in Texas.   She poured her  heart and soul into  her husbands successes, children and grand children's life achievements. She spent much of her free time with her plants and was frequently seen reading her Bible. Everyone who knew Velma knew how  friendly she was. Velma was full of fun stories from her past that were obvious to all after even just a single meeting with Velma. .Velma is survived by  Robert and Roxanne Black, Suzanne Black Faythe Black of Bryan Texas,Brian Black of Lubbock,Texas, D.R. and Betsy Black,Deidra and Jeff Wilson and many Nieces and Nephews of  Western New York as well as an abundance of friends. We will miss her more than words can say.
