Velma's obituary
Velma was born on June 2nd, 1942 to Earnest and Ruth Dail in Hertford, NC. After graduating from high school in WindFall, NC, she went on to purse Banking/Data Entry at Citibank in NYC.
When she had Traci and Glenda, she dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Velma excelled at propping up others and supporting them through their many endeavors and difficulties of life. Whether that was making you laugh at something, being direct with you on a matter, or throug sharing her faith in Christ, she was always supportive to improve the lives of others.
Velma was a compassionate soul and when she wasn’t filling hearts with truth, warmth, and kindness, she could be found at home watching westerns. We will miss her greatly.
Velma was predeceased by: Eugene Dail, George Simpson, Denise Mabine, Dixie Lee.
She is survived by husband: George Linwood Jones, Siblings: Ramona Dempsey, Ernestine Watkins Hall, Brenda Leatrice Freebee, Ethel M Paskel, Children: Traci King, Glenda Jones, Grandson: Bruce C Jones; host of family and friends.
There will be a memorial on 8/15/20 at 11 AM at 141 E Carteret St, Edenton, North Carolina, 27932.
