Velia went home to Jesus on September 7, 2021 at the age of 71. Velia Galvez was born to Rosario Serrano Carrillo and Anastacio Carrillo on February 7th, 1950 in Pihuamo, Jalisco. Velia Galvez married and went on to have six children, Patty, Lidia, Linda, Aureliano, Zulema and Ulises.  In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Velia Galvez also loved gathering as a family with her children and grandchildren, she generously took care of those in need, gave without expecting anything in return, she loved and cared for the elderly, she had a love for great music, she loved to sing her heart out, she was always up for dancing, she had a great laugh and sense of humor, she has a beautiful smile, she loved watching animated kid films with her grandkids, she enjoyed flowers and gardening, she made the most delicious Mexican food and salsa, she enjoyed cooking and lit up when you children praised her... most of all Velia Galvez loved life, she placed her faith in Jesus Christ and knew that there was nothing more important in life than a relationship with Christ and loving her family. Throughout her entire life,  she held an unwavering resilience, love, generosity, compassionate heart, genuine character and never gave up on anyone; she took care of many people through many difficult times and understood the importance of being present, she knew how to love without limitation, she is a wonderful and blessed woman.  Jesus Christ saved her life and she knew He loved her, she was forgiven, held and sustained by Him. We rejoice with Velia Galvez as she worships our Savior in His presence now.
