Personal note from Brett

Our dearest mother, Vel Meadows, has passed surrounded by flowers and family on May 9th, 2022 - one day following Mothers Day.
Two weeks prior on April 25th, Vel experienced a stroke in the morning, that thankfully gently lowered her to the ground. Within 15 minutes she was in the proper hands heading to the hospital where she remained. Thank God she was fully conscience for the majority of her time in the hospital. She was able to express her loving nature and discuss her wishes.
Knowing mom, Vel was eager to start a demanding physical therapy program, but her little body could not match her desire. Ultimately, she reached the point where her body could carry her no further and we were blessed with a gentle passing.

Vel was a Believer and was pleased she understood the meaning and gift of Grace. For her to comprehend the importance of faith in Jesus as her Saviour was very important to her because she had spent her life looking for Him.
We're blessed to have had a true friend, mother, grandmother and sister - of absolute indescribable quality, a bright light many felt.
Vel will be remembered by many for the loving, selfless, hardworking bundle of perfection that was ever ready to listen hard and have fun talking about it!
We'll never be able to duplicate her style, but will surely benefit emulating the never complaining, always thoughtful, never wanting and completely darling personality that she was.
To fully understand Vel, she would have been utterly disinterested in the topic of herself; which made her perhaps most endearing of all. She would have preferred to discuss how much she adored her entire family and many grandchildren.
