What can I say about my” Brother” as I called him and he called me the same. We never used names. A friend for life , roommate and my introduction to modern world ( I came from a remote village ). When ever I remember him all I get is a smile on my face , joy in my heart . He dint have a negative bone in his body . Where ever he was and who ever he was with all he did was spread fun and laughter. We lost touch for many years in between but when we met again it was like we met yesterday and we picked it from there. Last when he spoke to me he promised he will come to Hyderabad and stay with me. He never kept his promise and left in a hurry . I hope you are happy and in a better place now . Someday we will meet again and have good laugh . Goodbye my dear brother we will miss you until then. Your departure will not remove sweet memories you left for my lifetime.
I have known Veerabhadra Rao since fourth grade when my father moved from Madras to Vijayawada to start Andhra Jyothi. We both used to live in Surya Rao peta and our houses were two blocks away from each other. Veerabhadra Rao is genuine, down to earth, compassionate and one of the most intelligent person, I came across in my career. Of late, we have been on phone a lot talking about school and medical school friends . I still remember when we started playing soft ball in 11 th grade, I used to be a catcher and remember all the home runs Veerabhadra Rao used to hit. Last phone conversation I had with him was 2 weeks back, it saddens me to think he is no more. Shireesha joins me in sending our condolences to Vanaja and his family .
