Dr. Rao was always willing to listen and help. He would patiently explain things to me. He was one of the most giving people I knew along. I miss him.
I am so sorry to hear of Rao's death. Rao was a Family Medicine resident at Trinity Hospital in Kansas City, which is where I grew to know he and his wife. Rao, was always an extremely kind and gentle person who was a pleasure to work with and to share a friendship. Although we have not seen each other in many years, he has always left me with many warm memories.

In loving memory of Peddababu know him for 40 + years ever smiling,a gentle person and with easy going attitude will always be remembered as kind hearted person.
Left us too soon
Gone too fast
Only memories are left
I have very fond memories of Pedda Babu when I first met him and Vanaja in 1977. He is etched in my memory as a very gentle, caring and warm person whose humour is at once subtle and infectious. My heartfelt condolences to Vanaja, Sashank and Sirisha. My his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti, Shanti Shanti.

Rajeswara Rao
I will always remember Peddababu mavayya with a smile on his face. He was always very caring towards me and I have very fond memories of meeting him on their family trips to India and when we met him in California more recently. His quiet demeanor was very welcoming and would make it very easy to talk to him. Vasu, my husband, who typically keeps to himself, fondly remembers how he spent hours discussing a variety of topics with mavayya even when they met for the first time. We will miss him. Heartfelt condolences to Vanaja atta, Sasank and Sireesha.

I am Sachi, PeddaBabu’s cousin from Canada. Deeply saddened and pained with the sudden departure…
My early memories of PeddaBabu are from the 1960s when all our maternal cousins used to spend our summer holidays with our Grandmother in Guntur. Always gentle, kind and pleasant, he created a lasting impression on us kids. As we grew older, I spent a fee months at my Pinni’s (Aunt) in Vijayawada during my senior intermediate (grade 12). PeddaBabu was in Medical school at that time and come home for the weekend. We had a nice sumptuous dinner at home, I was feeling a bit lazy to brush my teeth before going to bed..Peddababu could sense it. He gently said to me ‘ పరవాలేదులే బుజ్జమ్మ! పులులు, సింహాలు, కుందేళ్ళు పళ్ళు తోముకోవు!!!(It is ok dear cousin! Tigers, lions and little bunnies don’t brush their teeth). He then drew me a little bunny with BUCK teeth!! He was an artist with a subtle humour. No wonder he created an amazing college magazine full of jokes and cartoons. A brilliant, versatile, innovative, creative, open minded genius, a loving personality , we will miss you Peddababu. Dear Vanaja, Sasank, Jenn and Sirisha, the void is immense but the legacy and the values Peddababu left us are invaluable and will be carried out by all of us.
May his Soul rest in Peace. Shivaikyamastu🙏🙏
In response to "What did you learn from Veerabhadra Rao?"
Dr. Mudunuri had such a kind and calm demeanor that emanated outward, bringing a sense of calm to those around him. He raised one of my best friends, Sasank, who in that same mold carries an aura of calm that puts you at ease. I am grateful every day for Sasank's friendship, and the friendship of his beautiful family, who welcomed me and so many other friends into their home with such openness and generosity. We grieve with your family and send you love as we all deal with this great loss. Dr. Mudunuri will be missed, but his spirit and legacy will certainly live on.
We are going to miss uncle. It was great pleasure knowing him. He made great impact on us with his calm and happy contended demeanor always.
🙏
Guruvardhan and family.

I have known Peddababu since our teen years and shared our journey through the years. My husband, Michael and I became close to Vanaja and Peddababu (despite living on opposite coasts) since their move to USA.
His gentle and generous spirit will always be with us. We all know how loving and devoted he has been as a husband and father. Vanaja has been the perfect foil for him. Sasank and Sirisha are gems that are the result.
His mind was like a sponge - absorbing knowledge from various healing traditions and history and always integrating it to make a whole. His deep intelligence was a joy to behold in our conversations - this covered Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Allopathy and Vedic studies.
I am not sure if people remember that he was also a fantastic cartoonist. I recall this from our medical college years.
Peddababu - I know no one like you. Michael and I have been such admirers of yours.
It is with great sadness that we heard of the sudden passing of Rao. We were looking forward to a visit later this year and planned on spending some time together with Vanaja and Rao. Though we have only met once at the wedding of Sasank and Jen, Rao came across as a loving, gentle, kind and highly intelligent person and a good doctor to his patients. He told me how he started using acupuncture in medical procedures in India and how he had to make the acupuncture needles because they were not readily available. We greatly admired his dedication to treating his patients. We will miss him and remember him always.
I met Dr Rao 18 or more years ago through his devoted wife, Dr. Vanaja. I was fortunate enough to be a part of helping him in opening his practice
and work for him. He encouraged me in all my endeavors and helped educate me with each new area I encountered in the office. He treated me like family. He was such a knowledgeable and a gentle soul. I left his employ 16 years ago but enjoyed his company the many times I have been invited to his home since then. I was looking forward to a visit with him this weekend but a higher power had other plans for him. I will really miss visiting him on my visits but will always have fond memories.
Dr. Mudunuri Veerabhadara Rao was my first cousin . I have literally known him all his life - I have known him since he was a toddler in my aunts’s arms. Pedda Babu is what we called him in the family!
Even as a child he was very kind, amiable and liked by all his friends and cousins. He grew up to be a distinguished and successful professional and a wonderful husband and father.
Words that come to mind when we think of him are soft spoken, kind, affectionate, very intelligent, always learning, great sense of humor and great to be with. All of us in the family are going to miss him sorely. When he and I spoke several months ago. We made plans to get together this year. Unfortunately that was not meant to be.
I feel blessed to have him in the family and have known him. He has left wonderful memories to cherish and set a great example to Sashank and Sirisha on how to love a full life.
