Vanessa H Herrin “Dawn” 59, was born January 16, 1959 to Coyt Jr and Mary Hicks in Scotland County, NC, departed this life on July 6, 2018. She is preceded in death by her sister Rebecca Norton and her daughter Selena Pipkin. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 36 years, David Herrin, mother Mary Caulder of Laurinburg, her daughter Jamie Smith (Matt) of Laurinburg, sons Johnathan Herrin of Arkansas and Charlie Herrin (Tiffany) of Clemmons, NC: 9 grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Shelby Smith, Austin Smith, Jayden Pipkin, X-Zavier Pipkin, Jerimiah Pipkin, Serenity Locklear, Andrew Murray and Lelend Herrin: 3 sisters Ida Stewart (Benny), Jeanette Taylor (Mitchell), Rhonda Bristow (Buddy) and brothers Roger Hicks (Becky) of Laurinburg and Robert Hicks: and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on July 14, 2018 in the East Laurinburg Church of God Fellowship Hall with visitation at 2:30, services will start at 3:00.
