Vanessa's obituary
Vanessa Kay Fry passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 9th 2022. She joined her best friends, Bette Dullinger and David Wooden, parents Glenn & Clarice Kipp, soul daughter Jonna Jensen, and second baby daddy, Eric Seely in the eternal after. She is survived by her daughters, Alexandria Gallagher and Alissa Seely-Kipp, Son-in-law Dean Gallagher, grandson Ethan Gallagher, ex-husband Roger Fry, and best friend Tony Biscoff along with various siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Vanessa was a kind and compassionate woman always trying to help others, even when she didn’t have much herself. She was incredibly passionate about music, dance and all things artistic. Before her disability, Vanessa was an industrial seamstress serving as the only licensed and certified hot air balloon repair technician in Alaska for many years. Once her disability made that work impossible, she focused on her music and art. She was an accomplished musician and song writer having dropped two albums of incredible, unique gypsy rock music. She created her own unique finger picking style on the classical acoustic guitar and toured around the state of Alaska preforming her music with her daughter Alexandria for several years. Throughout her life, she was a spiritual leader. She guided many people on their path to a higher power. She could be stubborn and always thought she was right but went into situations with the best of intensions. In her golden years, she developed a strong love for anime. She would often share new series she enjoyed with her loved ones. She made an impact on all those who knew her. Vanessa had a strength of character that allowed her to persevere through the hardships life threw at her. She is a beautiful soul and the world is better for having had her in it.
A memorial service will be held on August 6th, 2022 with additional details to come. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Access Alaska.
