I am sorry to miss this incredible celebration of Van's incredible life. I felt so loved by him each time he visited Allegra and Oren in New Mexico while I was lucky to live next-door. He treated Allegra's friend's like kids of his own and I will always cherish that feeling. Sending continued love to the community that I know he played such a huge role in.

I played Cletus in ‘Lone Star’ and Alfred in ‘ ‘ ‘Little Murders’  brilliantly directed by Van. He was a good, generous friend and possessed a quiet wisdom about many things.

Steve and I will increase our annual donation $100.00 to the Wilson Center  remembering Van's life. The Wilson Center is in Orono where we live. This is a center of celebrating, and sharing diversity in people through community. We think Van would like this Center. You can learn more about this Center on line.

I always enjoyed seeing Van. He always had a smile and kindness for me. Steve and I will miss seeing him and getting to know him even better. We will have to have that happen through his loved ones. Best, Kris and Steve

Van directed several SPATS Playhouse productions that I participated in either as an actor or as backstage support (lighting, sound). He was excellent! Oracle has lost a very talented and engaging person. I am grieved at his passing and feel the pain his closest friends, family and partner must be going through. He has a place in my heart.
