Valerie's obituary

We announce the passing of Valerie Giefer, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Valerie was born on May 25, 1951, and she peacefully departed this world on August 7, 2024.

Valerie married her soulmate, Randy Giefer, in 1982 and together they created a beautiful family. She will be remembered by her devoted husband, Randy, and their loving children, Kurt Watson, and Julie Mitchell and Rachel Bierwirth. The joy of her life were her grandchildren, Breanna and Katelyn Watson, Alyssa Mitchell, Sydney, Austin, and Avalon Bierwirth, who will carry her legacy forward.

A memorial service in honor of Valerie's life will be held on August 12, 2024, at North Coast Church, Fallbrook, CA at 5:30 PM.

Valerie was an active attendee of North Coast Church which was a fundamental part of her spiritual life. She was caring, unique, entertaining, and giving, as described by everyone who had the pleasure to know her.

Valerie's personality was reflected in her lifestyle. She had a special fondness for sushi and was a fervent supporter of the Padres sports team. Avila Beach was a favorite vacation spot and she loved the memories she made there with her family. It was these simple pleasures that added color to Valerie's life.

Today, we celebrate Valerie’s life and how much she meant to everyone she encountered. She will be greatly missed but her love, her kindness, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Her memories will be cherished, and her legacy will continue through her family and the countless lives she touched.
