What a touching and beautiful memorial....Val's daughters did such a beautiful job...the photo displays...the beautiful floral displays and of course the video montage.  The words spoken by the pastor and all of Val's friends were heartfelt.  Val is impressed and humbled, I am sure
Sending love and prayers of comfort to the family. ❤️
Mrs. Fleming was my Girl Scout troop leader, and it was such a blessing to have been able to grow up with her as a female leader in my life. She was always so kind, patient, and loving. I will never forget all of the effort and time she invested in making sure we were all happy and healthy as Girl Scouts in her troop. I went to elementary school with her daughter, Liz, who was just as sweet. I pray for the Fleming family now and send them all my love. I am beyond blessed to have known Valerie growing up, and I will always remember her generosity, compassion, and kind heart.

Val was my best friend and adopted sister. We have been  best friends since middle school. We always had the best adventures together from Santa Cruz to the Bahamas. We always had fun no matter what we did.  I was thrilled when she agreed to help me move from California to Florida. She even enjoyed helping to drive the moving truck. The great part about the trip is it allowed us to spend more time together. (Priceless 😁) Even though I’m struggling with her departure now, I’m looking forward to seeing her again in heaven. I love and miss you sister.🥰

Val with our cat Baby as we were traveling across country.
Valerie is my sister and my strongest memories are from when we were young!  Went to "Day on the Green" concerts and Niagara Falls.....the Jersey Shore and New York City.  Road trips to Florida and Los Angeles.  And over the mountain to Santa Cruz🌞🌞🌞 Val was always up for a new adventure and I know her spirit will be with us always.

Valerie was the leader of my daughter’s Girl Scouts troop and was a wonderful mentor and friend to all the girls and their parents.  She was a very special person who had a positive impact on so many.  I think of Valerie often and will miss her.

When we think of those companions who traveled by our side down life’s road, let us not say with sadness that they left us behind; but rather say with gratitude that they once were with us.   — inspired by the poetry of  Russia—.  With deepest sympathy,  Bob & Bobi Ashley
I was so sorry to hear about Valerie's passing. She was such a loving and kind person that loved Jesus! She was very kind to all and very giving to our church Harvest Valley.

Valerie was my cousin. Our mothers were sisters. I have not seen Valerie since we were in high school. My mother( when she was alive) would share different events going on in Valerie’s life throughout the years. After my mother died in 2003, I didn’t really hear much from Valerie for many years as I was dealing with health challenges with several close family members.

Then I heard about Valerie’s cancer diagnosis. We started communicating via the internet. Valerie kept me informed with her treatments and family events. When she and Dennis sold their house to drive across country for treatment, we had talked about them stopping off in Nevada to see me on their way east. Plans changed and Valerie said we would get together when they headed back.

We stayed in touch frequently. No matter how bad she was feeling or even if she didn’t agree with my personal posts on life events, I never heard a negative comment. Valerie shared what she was going through but always in a positive and inspiring manner. She loved her family and stayed strong in her Faith. I am so very glad to have been even a small part in her life. You were taken too soon my dear cousin but I thank you for your kindness, inspiration and strength. You were in my prayers nightly and I still think of you each night when I go to sleep.

You touched so many people’s lives with your Faith and Love. That is your Legacy. Love you dear Valerie. 💔💔💔
