Valerie's obituary
Valerie Jean Clark Lyons, 66, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 11:16pm. She was surrounded with many family members present. Valerie was born on October 6, 1957 in Belfast, Maine to Vaughn Eugene Clark and Verna Stairs Brazier. Valerie lived in Maine until she was 13 years old when her family moved down to Florida. She had a large family of 9 additional siblings. She married Michael Allen Lyons on January 25, 1976, loving one another for 47 years and 9 months. Valerie attended College for the Arts at Palmer’s Writers School following high school. She went onto create her craft as a seamstress. Valerie was blessed with a family of 5 daughters. She worked at Hillsdale Baptist Church as the aftercare director for 16 years from 2005 until 2021, and additionally housekeeping for over 40 years. She was a devout Christian and faithful to her Lord, Jesus Christ. She served the church by devoting extra time and energy with every opportunity. She gave everything she had to her faith, family and friends.
Valerie is survived by her husband Michael Lyons; her children Bobbie Crane (David), Veronica McNamara (Ryan), Jessica Lyons, Erica Grecco, and Carissa Deneca (Joe), many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her mother; Verna Brazier and siblings; Vanessa, Vickie, George and 5 additional stepbrothers and sisters.
Services will be held at Hillsdale Baptist Church at 6201 Ehrlich Rd, Tampa, FL 33625 on October 28, 2023.
All may begin to arrive at 10:30am for visitation as service will begin at 11:00am.
Following there will be lunch in the fellowship hall for all Family and invited close friends.
Valerie's favorite flowers are sunflowers; if inclined, a donation to assist the Lyons family would be greatly appreciated.
