Valerie Bland, affectionately known as Val, Babe, Aunt Darie, Mommy, and Nana, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and love. Born in Akron, Ohio, on September 1, 1968, she was the cherished daughter of the late James R. Pruitt and Shirley Pruitt.
Valerie was a proud graduate of Central-Hower High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The University of Akron. She later pursued her passion for helping others …
