Dear Ferris, I’m so glad we had the opportunity to meet and know eachother, share time together in Helena in 2017 with our Toomey family members. Your smile and sparkle so like your Mother’s, us Toomey girls’ beloved Cousin Buggins! And to find that life coincidentally had brought us both connections to Brazil - amazing!
Your light will continue to shine in our memories, and in our hearts.
Love from your Toomey cousins,
Gail & Debby & Mary & Aileen

I will always love Ferris for times spent laughing and eating around the table at Douglas Lake, but I am most grateful for the love and friendship we shared with my daughter. As she patiently waited for her own grandkids, she adopted my kiddo as a chosen grandchild, & made her feel so very special at their every meeting, even until the last when she privately explained why she would not be coming back to lake the next year. She treated her as an intelligent human being even when she was young, sharing appropriately and honestly what she was experiencing in her cancer journey. Then there were the annual cheesecake making days... miss you Ferris!

She showed me self-acceptance.

I remember Ferris as a go getter. She wasn't easily persuaded. She looked for the truth, listened to others and made a decision. She wasn't afraid to confront others about her findings. She will be missed in many ways.

She was an amazing and courageous woman. I had not seen her in a long time but remember her optimism and her sense of fun, Condolences from both Tom and me to her kids.
