I am late in posting condolences because I just this minute learned that Ursula had died.  We were at Georgetown University together and kept up from time to time over the years. I am going to Washington for the first time in 10 years and hoped to see her.  I am so sorry to hear of her death and I give my sincerest condolences to Ursula's family.

I wanted to share one more funny memory of an evening we spent with Thayer and Ursula in NYC . They came up to meet Peter and me and to cheer on Amanda and Lee who were running the NYC Marathon that year. The kids went off to celebrate and recover with Lee's parents while Thayer and Ursula had invited us to the Russian Tea Room for the evening. I am no city girl, and was simply overwhelmed at the opulence of that tea room...which I kept remarking on to Ursula. Thayer hastened to say they didn't come often, but he had found some great coupons on their hotel room! As they searched the depths of bags and pockets for the illusive coupons at closing time, the lights came on bright, and I began to notice the stunning candelabra were actually plain old band shades with red Christmas balls stuck on! Ursula and I both got the giggles as she reminded me that "all that glitters is not gold" and grabbed my arm whisking me into the street before I could cause more trouble. I will miss her friendship and comarraderie and enjoyed very much hearing from her friends and family at her lovely service. Thank you Campbell and Sarah, for honoring us all with this opportunity to share our love and memories.
We love you! Kristine and Peter
