Ulrich (Ulli) Christian Richard Dankworth passed away peacefully and surrounded by family in Toronto on March 9th, 2026, at the age of 86.

The most loving, caring, and generous father, husband, grandfather, and brother, Ulli leaves behind his children, Kevin (Jennifer) and Richard (Jane); his granddaughter Arielle; his sister Etta; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ulli was raised by his devoted parents Kurt and Irmgard Dankworth in Magdeburg, Germany with his 3 siblings. He grew up in an environment where the entire family demonstrated integrity, a strong work ethic, and immense generosity. Ulli's desire was to explore and travel the world. During his early travels, Canada became his favourite place, and he made it his home in the mid-1960's. Ulli married the love of his life, Maureen Dankworth (nee Leahey) in 1969, and had 54 glorious years of marriage before her passing in January 2024.

Ulli spent over 30 years working with Olympia Business Machines as their National Sales Manager. His favourite aspect of his career was traveling the globe for trade shows,  often with Maureen, to locations across the Americas, Western Europe, and Asia. In all of his travels, his favourite destination was Germany to spend time with his beloved family. Outside of his career, Ulli had the uncanny ability to build, fix, and repair almost anything, from a leaky faucet, to an entire cottage on Healey Lake in MacTier, Ontario.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28th, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm in the Auditorium at Venvi Donway Place (https://cogirseniorliving.ca/…) Venvi Donway Place was Ulli's last residence, and the residents and staff there were truly extended family to him.
