Ugo was so much more than a customer to me. He was a friend, always available, honest and kind, funny and caring, with an unstoppable drive in the business he built and was so justly proud of. His employees, business partners, customers and vendors alike loved and respected him. He was an absolute pleasure to hang out with, I always looked forward to delivering his beloved supply of espresso in person, so I could chat with him for a few minutes about soccer, his latest baked creations, coffee machines, Italy, whatever. He always made time for me, despite his busy schedule. What a man we lost, I extend my most heartfelt condolences to his beautiful family and closest friends. I'll miss him a great deal, he was a true, old-world gentleman. They don't make them like Ugo anymore.

My condolences to the entire family. Ugo Mamolo was like a second father to me. His open heart and his delightful personality made me feel welcomed and loved when I entered his home. He even gave me a nickname ...Audrina... He knew how to make you feel special and included. This gift he so generously shared was passed down to his children and to his grandchildren. I see it in every one of them and I am truly grateful for having them in my life.
I have known the Mamolo family since I went to grade school with his eldest daughter Viviana at Saint Timothy's in Cheviot Hills, California in the 1970's. I often spent time with the family growing up, eating dinner at their home and even taking trips with them. They taught me so much about what is truly important in life, that being friends and family ...And I feel blessed to have been able to.spend time with Ugo before he passed. To show you how wonderful this man was the last interaction I had with him he once again showed me love and compassion.. H was so very sick and yet all he seemed to care about was how I was feeling. I had just lost my mother two weeks prior to his passing. He held my hand and told me how sorry he was for my loss.. and together we cried. I am truly grateful to call this man my friend.. may he rest in peace. He will be dearly missed.

to the Mamolo family i would very much like to extend my condolences to all of you. i first met Ugo back in 1985 when i became a member of the Beverly hills Rotary and Beverly Hills Chamber. He always so helpful and caring. he use to get up early in the morning to go to the bakery and then he would change and come to the meetings. he was not just a seat filler , but some one who always contributed ,
may he rest in peace.

To the Mamolo family, Ugo was a great friend. I knew Mr. Bailey and Mr. Benish (sp) and when he bought the two bakeries. He was a great Rotarian and I often enjoyed talking with him. He will be missed.
