Tyrell's obituary

TYRELL G. SCOTT was born on December 23, 1971 in Brooklyn, New York to Georgette

Dorell Smith and the late Joe Lee Scott.

Tyrell was educated in the New York City Public School System where he attended Paul

Robinson High School in Brooklyn. He was a dedicated member of the Paul Robinson Track

Team and later attended Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY.

Tyrell accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a child. He attended Mount

Olive Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY with his grandmother Gertrude. In 2008, he later joined

Christian Worship Center (C.W.C.) Christian Church in Chicago, IL under Apostle Henry

Petty’s leadership.

As a child, Tyrell enjoyed being outdoors riding his bike and playing video games. At the age

of 5, he was given the opportunity to spend his summers at the Fresh Air Fund in upstate

New York annually where he met his loving family of Jed & Barbara DeYoung in Rochester,

NY. As he got older, he enjoyed being at the gun range, cooking outside on his grill, using one

of his many gadgets he bought to test around the house and his vehicles, and he also picked

up a hobby of playing golf.

On August 11, 2007 Tyrell married Lizzie Booker in Chicago, IL and in August 2012

they relocated to Milwaukee, WI.

Over the years Tyrell was a loyal employee at Kinkos, Caterpillar and was currently working

diligently as a supervisor at KOMATSU Mining Corp.

Tyrell was an only child yet he was self-less, loving, helpful, caring, and a compassionate

man. Through the ups and downs of his life, Tyrell had a heart of gold and would always give

to others and would never say no. He was very family oriented and a devoted son, husband,

father and grandfather. Tyrell was blessed with the love of two families and many friends.

Tyrell departed this life on March 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his loving

grandparents Gertrude and George Dorell, Elizabeth Pressley, and Levi Scott, his father Joe

Scott, and father-in-law Hiram Booker. He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish many

memories; his loving wife Lizzie, his mother Georgette, 5 children; Shada, Jovonna, Tyrell,

Tylese, and Laila. His granddaughter Leigha (grandma), his stepsiblings; Raven, Rodney, and

Rasheem. Also, his aunts; Evelyn, special aunt Carroll (Tiny) and husband William, Adell,

Yvonne, and Gloria. His mother-in-law Karen, sister-in-law Hope, and brother-in-law Travis,

Isaac, Lionel and Corey. Special cousin Kenneth (Starr), Shawn, Tiffany and husband Joseph,

and Oteka, with a host of cousins, nieces and nephews who will cherish the many memories

of him.

Tyrell was deeply loved by another family which was headed by parents Jed and Barbara

DeYoung (initially in Rochester, NY- currently Waupaca WI); brother Jared (wife Ashley and

children Lily and Cameron - Charlotte, NC) sister Johanna (husband Austin Friedrich and

children Crawford, Miller, and Hanes - Chicago, IL), and brother James (Austin, TX).

Tyrell also filled his life with a multitude of loving friends & co-workers.
