Obituary

We sadly announce the passing of Tyler McLean, a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend, born on October 11, 1994, and departed from us on February 10, 2025. Tyler is mournfully missed by his wife, Lisa, his two remarkable sons, Finn and Aiden, his parents Anne and Dean, and the many family and friends who cherished him.

Tyler graced the world with his creative spirit, loving nature, and boyish humor. He was an avid …

Personal note from Lisa

Organ donation occurred at record speed and great success. Despite a snowstorm, surgeons and donor recipients came from all over the country with a match to Tyler's heart, liver, lungs, pancreas, and kidneys (one each to two different people!) Tissues and cells will be donated for burn victims and medical research, which will become the medical advancements I use in practice.

Many lives saved. Countless to be saved. I couldn't do that in my whole career in medicine.
For as sad as I feel and as hard as my road will be, it is not impossible with the support of this community. And because I see that I can trek this path, I can make this choice for myself: I choose to be proud of Tyler. I can negotiate toward closure, acceptance, and peace in my soul, even if I don't fully agree or understand his actions. I believe that's what marriage is about.

Thank you, all, for helping us with our financial, logistical, and emotional fears. The funds will be used toward the medical bills and child daycare.
