Scott's obituary
Tyler "Scott" McCain (1994-2022)
Tyler "Scott" McCain was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin & friend. He left this world unexpectedly on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at age 27, at his home in Marksville, LA.
He was born to Theresa Mitchell & Billy Oglesby, in Cleveland, MS on October 3, 1994, where he attended Cleveland High School & went on to graduated from Camp Minden Youth Challenge Program in Minden, Louisiana. Scott loved playing baseball & became a great player & went to Las Vegas with the All-Star team. At age 16 he moved to Marksville, LA, to be closer & spend more time with his Sister, Father & other family. There he became a father of two & a great friend to so many. As well as, met the love of his life, who conceived his second child. He enjoyed spending time & playing ball with his nephews, he loved hanging out with his sister & family, along with his friends. He liked playing the guitar, drawing, skateboarding, fishing, music & of course he loved going to the casinos. Scott was like the class clown & loved to play jokes & prakes on people. He was a character, one of a kind. Most people would say he was a quite person, kept to himself & not that social. When really he had to get to know a person & comfortable around them, before he was himself. That's when a person got to see a loving, caring, funny, silly, goofy, crazy, helpful & emotional at times, kind of Scott. Not many people got that privilege & or opportunity. And I, his Aunt, am so grateful that I got that chance, during his life. I'll cherish & carry the memories I have of him in my heart. He left us to soon & to young, but he'll still live on in our hearts, memories & thoughts. He'll never be forgotten. Fly high in the sky with the angels above us & keep us safe down here. Until we meet again, now our guardian angel. He is preceded in death by his Grandmother Mildred Mitchell, Grandfather Walter "Howard" Mitchell, Uncle Thomas "Al" Ingle, Stepbrother Michael Oglesby, Cousins Jonathan Mitchell & Christopher Credille & Great Grandparents Thomas "Ed" Dunlap & Madeline Dunlap. Those left to cherish his memory are his 2 children Tyler Scott Grossie of Alexandria, LA & MaKaelynn Ann McCain of Baton Rouge, LA, his parents Theresa Mitchell of Houston, TX & Billy Oglesby of Cameron, LA, his sister Felisha Oglesby of Marksville, LA & his brother Billy Oglesby, Jr. of Cameron, LA, his 2 nephews Tyler & Zachary Drouin of Marksville, LA, his 6 aunts Cheryl Bassie of Houston, TX, Terry Credille & husband Jim of Richmond, TX, Mitzi McCain & husband Mike of Cleveland, MS & Cindy Mitchell & husband Danny Cook of Houston, TX, Brenda Vanlandingham & husband Bernard of Louisville, MS, Shelia Rone of Ethel, MS, his 2 uncles Michael Ingle & wife Sen of Jackson, MS, Howard "Bubba" Mitchell of Grenada, MS, his great aunt Louise Birnberg & husband Gerry of Houston, TX, his great uncle Thomas Dunlap & wife Harriett of Coldwater, MS, as well as his 58 cousins.Memorial services are still being arranged.
