Tyler's obituary
Tyler was born on November 15, 1942 to Gayle Maxine Henzlik Whipple and Joseph Maxwell Henzlik in Mitchell, South Dakota. After graduating from West High School, in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1961, he went on to Dakota Wesleyan University for a brief period before joining the Army. In the Army, he was part of the 101st Screaming Eagles Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He served as the company clerk.
In 1962, he met Ann Katherine Ackerblade at Donaldson’s Department Store where they both were employed. They wed in 1966, going on to have three incredible children, Kirsten Lee Henzlik, Kirk Phillip Henzlik and Kyle Louis Henzlik. Tyler was endlessly proud of his children and seven grandchildren.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and loved watching the Minnesota Twins. Tyler kept his fabulous sense of humor to the end.
His family meant more to him than anything else in the world. Tyler was predeceased in death by his parents and oldest sister Jacquin Hall. He is survived by his brother Jay Dee Henzlik of Minneapolis, Minnesota; his sister Deana Roehlke and husband Wes of Loretto, Minnesota; his wife Ann Henzlik of 55 years; his three children: Kirsten Henzlik of Baldwin City, Kansas, Kirk Henzlik- somewhere “Down Under” in Australia, Kyle and his wife Mandy Henzlik of Lindstrom, Minnesota; and his seven grandchildren Erica, Ella, Amber, Jacob, Brent, Dylan and Noah.
Tyler’s celebration of life will be posted at a later date when all family members will be able to attend.
