Mong Tuyen was born into the Ho family in Vietnam on June 08, 1962. At the height of the Vietnam War, at the age of 10, Tuyen and her siblings traveled to Casablanca, Morocco to live with her aunt and uncle. She spent her formative years attending schools in Casablanca -- where she developed a keen interest in languages. In the early 80s, Tuyen immigrated to the US, Maryland, to live with her mother and …
