Trung Chi Tran (Trần Chí Trung) peacefully passed away at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on March 7, 2022, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by wife Hanh (Hạnh) and two sons, Hao (Hạo, 16) and Khoi (Khôi, 14). Born in 1976 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Trung attended Vietnam National University (B.Sc. in Environmental Science), Free University of Brussels, Belgium (M.Sc. in Human Ecology), and University of Queensland, Australia (Ph.D. in Earth Science).
