Trung Chi Tran (Trần Chí Trung) peacefully passed away at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on March 7, 2022, after a battle with cancer. He is survived by wife Hanh (Hạnh) and two sons, Hao (Hạo, 16) and Khoi (Khôi, 14). Born in 1976 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Trung attended Vietnam National University (B.Sc. in Environmental Science), Free University of Brussels, Belgium (M.Sc. in Human Ecology), and University of Queensland, Australia (Ph.D. in Earth Science). Trung was fiercely passionate about the environment and dedicated his life to both pursuit of environmental initiatives and his family. After immigrating with his family to Saskatoon in 2018, Trung was employed as an environment coordinator by the City of Saskatoon and contributed to various environmental projects. Trung was a kind, loving, and supportive husband and father, and well liked by his friends and colleagues. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. Trung had a strong passion for sports and he played soccer and tennis on a regular basis. He instilled his passion in his two sons, who play high-performance soccer and are training with Saskatoon Whitecaps Academy.

Viewing time is 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 11, and the Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. at Hill Crest Funeral Home, 210 Wess Road, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
