Troyce's obituary
Troyce Jorgensen, 83, of Edgewood, WA, passed away on January 25, 2024 after a long courageous battle with several health conditions. She was very strong and kept her sense of humor throughout it all.
Troyce was born on December 4, 1940 in Upton, Wyoming. Troyce met her first husband, Samuel Hoff, on a blind date in Sumner, Washington and they wed in 1958 going on to have four children, Kim, Kelly, Kevin and Kenny.
Later, she met and married the love of her life, Robert Huffman in 1994. Robert’s daughter, April, was another daughter for Troyce to love and later more grandchildren! Troyce and Robert resided in their home in Edgewood, WA for most of those years and recently moved to Milton, WA in order to downsize.
Troyce’s notable work history included Sears and later The Bon Marche (Macy’s) where she met and maintained lifelong friendships. Troyce retired from Macy’s over 20 years ago.
Troyce excelled at supporting her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (who affectionately call her GiGi), through the many passions and events of their lives. She made it her mission to be supportive in the lives of many others….and we all loved her dearly.
Troyce was a passionate presence on Facebook, always offering kind, supportive, and often funny words to her friends and family. Troyce was a bit of a night-owl and if you were lucky enough, she’d chat the night away with you via Messenger. We miss her terribly.
In honor of Troyce’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Rather, her immediate family will hold a private Celebration of Life.
Troyce’s final resting place will be in the Sumner Cemetery, in a beautiful granite niche wall overlooking her Mom, Step-Dad and Brother.
Our family invites you to share your memories here and we thank you for your words of comfort and gestures of kindness. Troyce’s love will always be remembered.
