I’m so at a loss for words. I think all I can say is you will be missed and your memory as a Marine, a son, and a brother will always live on. You are my brother from another mother. Cathy and Megan if you ever need anything from me I can be the substitute brother and son that you need. Condolences from me and my family and I love you both and I would say I’m sorry for YOUR loss but this is my last as well and my families.

Cathy,Megan, You both know how I feel and I would do anything for you. I’ll always come to you all and do anything to help you. Cathy, we’ve been buddies for 55 years , keeping in touch off and on during that time. You are number one in my heart always as I continue to pray for you and Megan and struggle to understand. Love you both!!

I worked with SSgt Harris in the Marine Corps and vividly remember his humor and demeanor.
To his family, we are grieving with you. We are deeply saddened by his loss. Please let us know what we can do to support you during this time.

I am truly at a loss for words. SSgt, you kept me on my toes at times and reached out with random messages since I left the unit. I will miss those. I pray you found peace Marine. You will be missed.
Sending my thoughts and Prayers to mom and Sister. He was an amazing Marine and person.

I remember SSgt Harris first checking into the unit as a Cpl fresh out of active duty. He was one of my first NCOs at the time. He was a mentor turned to a friend. He was always motivated and wore that uniform proudly, a true patriot and would always volunteer for missions or roger up whenever there was a task at hand. He made questionable decisions at times, but he never acted with ill intent and was always upfront and approachable which I admired about him. We shared a drink together at one particular birthday ball where he mourned the recent passing of his father at that time. I'll never forget that moment. He was a solid dude with me. We always joked and talked nonsense about each other and always exchanged ridiculous memes especially when it came close to the holidays. I enjoyed our memories I just can’t believe he did this.. This one truly hurts.

SSgt Harris - until Valhalla Brother. I know not what demons you held, what memories you cherished, or what trials you endured. But I know that there are so many of us in such similar circumstance - and we are a family. You've reached your end of watch, and you will be missed. Many loved you. Many will remember your name. As you join our brothers and sisters in eternity I wish you fair winds and following seas. Semper Fi - Major John Frushour, USMC.

I remember his first day checking in at 4thCAG, dressed in his Alphas. He was squared away, and I was excited to have him on my Comm team. He was always passionate to do the right thing for the unit and the Corps. I was hard on him at times, because I knew he had the potential and desire to be great. Maybe I was too hard, and I didn’t realize that he just needed someone to let him know how great he already was... His goofiness and dance moves will not be forgotten. Rest in Power. I love you, heavenly brother. I’m sorry for your loss, Ms Cathy and Ms Megan.

Always left me with a smile. Passionate about all he spoke about, and somehow produced deep motivation when none was to be found. I will always remember the random inspirational messages sent to me, and never forget his focus. He has touched many lives and his influence lives on! Rest my friend. We have the watch.

My deepest condolences to the family. He was an amazing Marine, always putting others before himself. I remember checking in, and him telling me, if there’s anything I can do or help with, let me know. And that let me know how much he would pour and put others before himself.

Damn Troy. Fuc*ing Harris "porter" damn man. I know its selfish to make this about anyone else other then you but fu** man, fu**, I am so sorry I failed you as a friend man. I can't rest my mind imagining all these scenarios of how lonely it must have been for you in those last moments that you felt like you had to do that. I am sorry I failed to let you know that you could have called me man. Jamaican food will never taste the same man. Every time you came to Miami and we had a chance we would go eat oax tail. I remember the first time you saw my vette. You told me it was your dream car, you even had your laptop background with the same exact color and model I have. I offered you to drive the car but you refused it because you had to drive back home lol. Priorities priorities!!!! Ms Cathy and Ms Megan, though we never met, and its one of my regrets, I send you all the strength in the world. I loved your son, brother. I won't make this Saturday but im coming to visit him during Christmas. Troy was a brother to me. I loved him as a person and admired his as a Marine. I am sorry it came down to this. Yo harris porter, I am forever in debt to you, we will take that drive when I see you again. Stay frosty you motherfu**er.

Troy was a funny man when I worked with him at Home Depot. He always had quirky comments and sometimes not work appropriate but it made me laugh cause I understood his sense of humor. We sat in the break room one night (we both worked overnights) and we just talked for an hour. Every time someone dropped anything, he would always say “ya dropped something” and snicker. It was his thing. When he left Home Depot to continue his welding career, everyone signed an apron for him. It’s what we do at Home Depot when someone who’s worked long enough with the company and was a good worker. His last day there, his apron was pretty full, even had some signatures on the back. After he left, he would message me every so often some funny YouTube videos. He sent me a funny video on July 12th. I never responded until now, and I didn’t find out about his passing until today. I don’t even know how to feel. I’m praying for his family and I give my condolences. <3
