We announce the passing of Troy Denton on January 14, 2024 from natural causes.

Born on June 25, 1930, in Pocasset Oklahoma, to Bert Ray and Josie Clemmons Denton he had a sister Penny, and brothers Raymond and Donald. He was married to Sally Juanita Platt Denton and then to Jean Francis Hamilton Denton.

He served his country, a lot. He was 20 years in the Air Force and 14 years at Johnson Space Center with NASA.  

He leaves behind his sons, Gary Lee Denton and James Traverse Denton, and his daughter Sally Charlene Piggott and his stepsons Jim, Doug, and Blake Hamilton and stepdaughter Nancy Anderson, 13 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. 

We remember Troy not for his departure, but for the life he led, the love he shared, and the happiness he brought into our lives. 

May he rest in peace.
