TROY's obituary
Troy Winfred Allard Jr, 79, of Worcester passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday November 22nd after a long battle with dementia and heart disease.
Born in Claremont, NH, he was the son of the late Troy Sr and Susie (Townsend) Allard. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Allard, along with three children, Brent Allard and his partner Jasmine Brennan of Richmond California, Craig Allard and his wife Annie Allard of Racine Wisconsin, and Troy Allard III and his wife Lindsy Allard of Hudson Massachusetts, six grandchildren, Joshua Allard, Brandon Allard and his wife Alyssa, Alyssa Allard, Cassandra Allard, Lilianna Allard and Caleb Allard. He also leaves behind his sisters Winifred Kennison and Shirley Hebert and husband Bob Hebert of VT, Jacquelene Tate of FL and his brother Garry Allard and wife Donna Allard of FL as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Larry Allard and sister in-law Samantha Allard of ME and sister Beverly Allard of ME.
Troy took great pride in his military service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1967 where he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Sharpshooter Good Conduct Medal. He was based at Ft Knox where he was an Aircraft Mechanic when he first met his wife, Elizabeth Allard. Troy worked at Nashua Corp in NH after his military service ended.
Troy and his wife Liz served in various ministries over the years. Troy formally served in a local chapter as President of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship, the Salvation Army as a Youth Pastor and is a Graduate of Real Men Ministries. Both have traveled extensively as evangelists in Portugal in Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International. Troy, Liz and their children traveled to Israel for The School of Ministry where he and his children were baptized in the Jordan River. They were part of a marriage seminar in Holland through Association of Christian Character Development as well as many other trainings in the US. For the last eight years they were participating in ministry at Pastor Dan Fontaine’s church, Hillcrest in Oxford MA, where he was ordained as a minister in 2017.
Troy has always been an evangelist at heart. His favorite words were, “What must you do to be saved?”.
A military funeral service will be held at the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial, 111 Glenallen St, Winchendon MA at 2:00 on Friday December 9th. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 on Saturday December 10th at Hillcrest Church, 155 Leicester St Rte 56 N Oxford MA.
