In Loving Memory of My Dear Friend Trish :

Ke Aloha Mau Loa – A Hui Hou

(Translation: Eternal Love – Until We Meet Again)

From where all is influence and harmony, accord answering accord,

your soul’s song rises like a gentle breeze across the ‘āina,

carrying the aloha of our ‘ohana through the aeons.

My beloved sister, today we honor you, a soul whose light shines like the stars over our sacred ‘āina, a bell tower ringing across the aeons. You were a multitude—vibrant, boundless, a melody of aloha that wove our ‘ohana together. Your laughter, like the song of the sea, your warmth, like the sun on Mauna Kea, your unbreakable spirit—these gifts linger in our hearts, forever pono, forever true.

From where all is influence and harmony, accord answering accord, your presence rises like a cosmic hymn, blessed by the mana of the islands. In that sacred space, where time dissolves and aloha reigns, your soul’s resonance guides us still. You are not lost to us, dear sister, but woven into the stars, your voice echoing in the heartbeat of our ‘ohana, carried on the wings of the trade winds.

We stand here, hearts heavy with grief yet lifted by gratitude for the aloha you shared. You taught us to live with courage, to love with the depth of the ocean, and to find harmony in the rhythm of the ‘āina. Your spirit, a rainbow bridging earth and sky, will lead us through the aeons until we meet again.

A hui hou, my cherished sister—until we are reunited in the embrace of eternal aloha, your song will carry our ‘ohana home.

Me Ke Aloha Pumehana

(Translation: With Warmest Aloha)
