Trevor Coley Obituary
On Sunday, December 17, 2023, God Called our beloved: Trevor Coley, home. He transitioned from “labor to Reward,” at the age of 40.
Trevor Lamar Coley was born on July 9, 1983 to William Coley, Jr. and Edwina Coley, in Goldsboro, North Carolina. He traveled extensively as a military-dependent throughout his formative years, and graduated from Kempsville High School, Virginia Beach, Virginia in 2001. Trevor initially attended Durham Technical Community College in 2001. Additionally, he attended North Carolina Central University (NCCU) in Durham, North Carolina. He graduated NCCU in 2006, after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication. He was an amazing son, grandson, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who loved with ALL his heart!!!
Trevor worked tirelessly as a Periodic Support Worker with a Qualified Professional status through (both) 1) Securing Resources for Consumers, Inc., and, 2) Upward Change Health Services (Durham, NC), providing: intensive in-home social services to youths, and case management services to adults. Trevor lent his Gifts and Talents as an active leader through helping with (local) community causes. Trevor’s “Assignment in Life and Ministry,” for over 20 years, was assisting and supporting the country of Columbia by traveling to and providing help to the “Poorest of the Poor;” however, whenever, and wherever he could reach out to them.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: a baby boy (Orion Zin Alston-Coley); his parents; (brother) Marquis (fiancée: Amber Anderson); (sister) Alicia; (niece) Ayanna Marie Boykin; (nephews) Kamari Boykin, Amir Coley and Nasir Coley; (special friend) Sha’Quiel Alston; and a host of family members and friends from all over the world.
Trevor’s absence here, will be GREATLY missed!
