Trena's obituary
Trena Sue Riddle, aged 79, passed away on November 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City, OK. Born on June 15, 1945, Trena brought joy and laughter to all who knew her. Trena's vibrant personality made her the heart of every gathering. Known for her wit and sass, she was an avid sports fan, often found energetically supporting OU and Kansas City football teams. Her hobbies included playing board games, reading with her cats, and watching Marvel movies, always ready to debate which character was the most appealing, with Chris Hemsworth being her favorite. A talented knitter, Trena enjoyed crafting blankets and beanies while listening to her favorite music. She was also the ultimate Cards Against Humanity winner.
Trena was a beloved figure in her community, standing firm in her beliefs and extending her home as a proud adoptive mom to many, fiercely protecting them as her own. Her career with the Oklahoma City Police Department spanned 16 years, culminating in her retirement in 2007.
She is survived by her daughters Cassandra Riddle, Kimberly Judas, Juanita Foy, Rita Young, Rhonda Walker, Janie Taylor, Brooklyn Waldrop, and Monica Nolasco; sons Joe Schwemin, Kevin Adams, Michael Davis and Grant Brooks; grandchildren Dani Cordell, Trina Tlustos, Marcus Nolasco, Brooke Nolasco, and Raymond Nolasco; and sister Trudy Burns. Trena was preceded in death by her parents, John D and Verna Mae Spence, siblings Johnnie Mae Ault and Sidney Spence, and grandson Michael Tanner.
In lieu of a traditional funeral, a celebration of life will be held to honor Trena's memory, reflecting her wish for joy rather than sorrow to mark her passing.
