Travis's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Travis Yerdon, cherished son, brother, husband, father, and Iraq War veteran who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Born on October 5th, 1983, he left us too soon on September 3rd, 2024.
Travis is survived by his loving wife, Angela Yerdon, daughters Alexandra and Camryn, sons Liam and Memphis Yerdon, mother Dawn Hull (Petit), father Gordon Yerdon Jr., brothers Greg and Tyler Yerdon, Darryl (DJ), Hunter Hull, and two sisters Katrina Wright and Reba Yerdon. He is also survived by his grandmother, Carol Petit of Hastings NY. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Gordon Yerdon Sr, Beverly Yerdon and Glen(Irving) Petit.
Travis was a vibrant soul who was adored by all who knew him. A dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he never missed a game. He carried a strong soft spot for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and enjoyed playing football and wrestling with his brothers from time to time as a child. Despite his varied interests, his most cherished moments were spent with his children. His love for his family was apparent in his everyday actions; a love that will be remembered and cherished by those he left behind.
His favorite occasonal drink, Southern Comfort, embodied his personality - smooth, warm, and truly comforting to those around him. Travis was a beacon of strength, reflecting his experiences serving in the United States Army. His courage, perseverance, and dedication were evident in all aspects of his life.
A service to honor and remember Travis will be held on Saturday September 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, LLC in Binghamton NY. This will be a time for friends and family to come together, share memories, and celebrate Travis's life that, while short, was undoubtedly full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.
Travis’s spirit and legacy will continue to shine in our memories. His unwavering love for his family, respect for his country, and dedication to his passions will forever inspire those who were lucky enough to know him.
