Tony's obituary

Tony Martini, born Gerald A. Martinitis, 92 years of age, passed away on January 4, 2026. Tony was born in New York City on October 27, 1933. His father was Clarence Martinitis and his mother was Mary Guisto. Tony had one older brother, the late-John Martin and one younger sister Fran Elsing. Tony had three children, daughers Christina & Antoinette Martini and his son, Anthony Whitson-Martini.

Tony joined the Air Force in 1952 and began his illustrious performing career across the greater Pacific, including but not limited to engagements in Alaska, Hawaii, and many Western U.S. states; internationally in Vietnam, Japan, Guam, Philippines, Australia, China, Singapore, Taiwan, and Fiji. Tony then lived in Hawaii with Elaine Stuart and daughters Christina and Antoinette. Some of Tony’s crowning achievements include appearances on “The Tonite Show”, Arthur Godfrey, Tommy Dorsey, and producing stars like Jose Feliciano, Johnny Mathis, and Ray Charles in Hawaii. Tony moved to California with Sharon Whitson and his son Anthony, before living in Nevada for many years.

Tony is deeply missed and leaves behind peace, love, happiness, and joy through each soul he crossed paths with.
