Toni was always upbeat and never complained about her illness. My favorite memories are of sitting on the beach with Toni, enjoying the ocean, each of us reading a book. She loved to read and especially seemed to love birds, we saw some unusual birds on our drives into the “jungle”. Toni always wore a watch, always no matter what. She so loved her family, and was especially proud of her grandkids . Toni was one in a million and will be sadly missed.
There will forever be a piece of beach that makes me think of Toni. And the warmth that she created around her made for the most beautiful welcome. Her enjoyment to the simple things, like a game or puzzle and the view where so inspiring to me. As the world got physically more difficult for her, it was easy to forget her limitations because she focused so much of her energy on relationship, animals, and the things that brought her joy… like flamingos and flowers. I learned a lot knowing her and she is missed because she is so loved by those who knew her.
