My dear friend,
I am so hurt by Tomasi's death, and sorry for you for the loss of your beautiful, talented friend, mate, husband and father. My Frank has been gone almost two years and the pain just does not seem to stop. I am sure your loss is as severe as mine. I just live across the Mississippi in Kahoka, Missouri now and the door is always open to you and yours. Sincerely, Jackie Ellington

We had not been married but 3 days and he asked me in the evening, "Would you like me to read to you?" Of course I said yes and he opened up a book by Hugh Nibley. Many of the words were words I'd never heard before....concepts that were deep and challenging to sink in.....Yet I loved him reading to me. He read MANY books to me all our 55 years of marriage. I learned to love Scriptures, good literature, plays, poetry and many books of value. He taught me the LOVE of reading. Great authors effect the way we think, move and have our being. I'm forever grateful for learning how to read and the love of reading from my sweetheart Tomasi.

Irene-family,
Our sincere sympathy to you all for the loss of a great, talented, giving, kind and welcoming person, Tomasi was in every aspect of his life. He will be greatly missed by all. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. We send our love and prayers to you. Love-Aloha, Susie and Barry Smith.
Sister Tukuafu, Brother Hughes and I were so sad to hear of your sweet Tomasi’s passing. The two of you have brought joy to so many missionaries and family over your lives. We feel so blessed to have crossed paths with you and enjoyed your friendship and wonderful company in your home. Your loved and hospitality and how you kept spreading the Aloha spirit in Nauvoo. We loved having dinner with you, walking around your home and hearing stories about your family and how you fell in love. I enjoyed hearing and seeing that everything in your home was meaningful. We loved listening to the music the two of you would play together on your beautiful instruments as the sunset over the Mississippi. We loved helping you set up the barn loom and being amazed how strong Tomasi was lifting the warp beam. We could see your love and concern for your sweetheart as his memory was slipping. Your love and tenderness towards him did not go unnoticed. We hope he gets to play scrabble in heaven. We love you and wish we were close to mourn with you. We send our love, prayers and hugs. Tomasi is leaving a big hole in this world that can’t be filled. Aloha our dear friend. May God be with you❤️
