Thomas Jesse Roberson (aka Papa)

August 18, 1940 – September 2, 2025

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Tom Roberson, age 85, who left this world peacefully on September 2nd, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom and his three sisters — Joan, Sandy, and Linda Gail — were raised in Georgia by their parents, Jesse Jackson and Evelyn Elizabeth Roberson. When Tom was a teenager, his family moved to Arizona, where he met Eileen. Tom and Eileen married, and shortly after, Tom joined the Army. They were stationed in New York, where they welcomed their two daughters, Linda and Debi. Soon after the girls were born, the family moved to Southern California, where Tom and Eileen raised their daughters. Later in life, after their children were grown, Tom and Eileen settled in Glendale, Arizona.

Tom is survived by his daughters, Linda Roberts and Debi Little (son-in-law T.J. Little); his grandchildren, Jessi Jo Barber (James Barber), Tanese Little (Eric Aareola), and Brittany Little; and his seven great-grandchildren — Mylei, Zane, Mollee Jo, Achilles, Monroe, Aero, and Roman. He is also survived by his sisters, Joan and Linda Gail; his brother-in-law Dewey (husband of sister Sandy); and many nieces and nephews who meant so much to him.

Tom is now resting with Jesus, reunited with his parents, his sister Sandy, his wife Eileen, and other loved ones who went before him.

There was nothing Tom loved more than his family, who will continue to honor his memory by living with the love, generosity, and resilience he showed every day.

Those who knew Tom will remember his laughter, his humility, and the way he loved without condition. He was a living example of grace, strength, and kindness, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
