Today we are playing our favorite playlist of eternal love - full of sweetness, tears and fond memories! One is the song from my mother and Richard's wedding 30 years ago - I Live My Life for You. It never would have made our personal list - too posery! XD - had my mom not asked Todd to play the song at the wedding, playing the guitar and singing it with his beautiful voice. Todd was not comfortable singing alone, so we decided to do it as a duet. We practiced for months, him learning the guitar melody by heart and us singing together, learning the lyrics, practicing our voices and developing the harmonies. We didn't end up singing at the wedding, but the song we learned by heart and picking fingers was not only in our minds forever, poser or not, it's a beautiful song of deep true love and it became a part of us with such a beautiful bonding memory (singing to each other) <3

This day will forever be full of emotion for the family and on this 1st anniversary, we struggled between ourselves - who was miserable with missing, who was celebrating Todd's life by honoring him and everything between these two extremes. Todd is with us and reminded us of his favorite parable: The Tale of the Two Wolves. It's an old tale told by many cultures in different ways > We all have two wolves inside us - the Good Wolf and the Bad Wolf. The Good Wolf eats positive emotions like love, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, honesty, courage, friendship, etc. while the Bad Wolf eats negative/destructive emotions like greed, jealousy, anger, fear, selfishness, judgement, self pity, etc. Whichever is fed the most takes over the heart of the person. We all have the choice and power to choose which wolf to feed.
Therefore, we have named this day = Day of the Wolf to celebrate every year henceforth. It symbolizes the extreme emotions of the day and finding balance, reminds us to feed the loving wolf and represents a concept dear to Todd's heart. Plus it was one of his first totem animals discovered! Please celebrate January 27th, the Day of the Wolf, with Todd's family and remember to feed the Good Wolf!

1987, Truckee River, Sparks NV at Spice Island Park
In this life, we actually met at work - good old Burger King! All the girls at work twittered over him, but I won! <3 :P Our first date was a double date with another couple from work to a Ratt/Poison concert. Before the concert, we went swimming in the Truckee River at Spice Island - very fun, memorable, sexy, interesting date. We were late to the concert and watched from the floor, in the back where we could dance together, no rough stuff. We enjoyed Ratt - and then bailed on Poison XD - we never really liked them! But that was that for us - we were hooked on each other forevermore. Through ups and downs, partings and reunitings, serious life lessons and glorious adventures, it's always been us - a thousand thousand lives and worlds ;) We always find each other!
