Todd's obituary
Todd passed away on October 29 at 5:21a.
Dying at 54 was not supposed to be his story. He was a fighter, and won his second long fought battle with cancer - being cancer free for two months - before passing from complications from a weakened immune system. He wasn’t alone. Kelly was with him and he passed peacefully. It was a surprise, and devastating, as they had been making Thanksgiving plans the night before. His mother and kids from Tennessee, Kaitlyn and Ryder, were in town visiting and his last days were spent with them - laughing and talking.
Todd was a true renaissance man. He loved mountain biking, could fix and repair almost anything, he loved singing karaoke, listening to music and sharing his playlists with others, reading, drawing and painting and working with wood out in his shed at the poconos. He was an accomplished writer, winning contests for his poems, screenplays and stories.
But most of all, he loved his kids...LOVED being a father - he excelled in it….and he deeply loved Kelly. His and Kelly’s love story was enviable - they met at work and became the closest of friends. Time and dissolution of previous relationships drew them together, and they had over ten years of partnership, friendship and an intimacy that deepened even further as their relationship went on. Their milestones included multiple dogs (Rylie, Layla, Zoltan, Joaquin, Cynthia Pickles), a home in NYC and the poconos, and their son Nikolai. Todd was complicated and fiery, and extremely loyal to his friends. He opened his arms to new relationships, which he committed to nurturing, and was an excellent confidante and listener.
His memories and legacy live on through his children from his first marriage: Kaitlyn and Ryder, his long term partner Kelly, their baby Nikolai, and his mother, Bobbie.
During this time of deep grief, please share your stories, pictures and videos so his family can feel less sad and remember him for the amazing human we all know him to be.
