On December 13th, 2023, Tina Weeks died peacefully at her home in Tillamook at the age of 56. Tina is survived by her husband of 32 years, Roger Weeks, her mom Tonya, her brothers Mark (Jill, Nikelle) and Aaron (Jenny, James, Jacob, Colby) and her children, Logan (Alex), Colton (Ken), Austin (Hannah), Franklin and Bowen. Tina was born in 1967. She graduated from Estacada High School and attended Linfield College on a soccer scholarship. She went on to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising at Oregon State University, graduating in 1989. She worked in downtown Portland at the Gap for many years until she attended the Mt Hood Kiwanis camp and found her true calling in working with kids with ranging abilities. She went on to graduate from Portland State University in 1996 with her master's degree in special education. In 1996, Tina and Roger moved to Tillamook and Tina became a full-time mother of five boys. She was extremely proud of all her sons and watched her youngest boy’s graduate valedictorian and salutatorian of their class, and three weddings in the last three years. In 2011, Tina returned to her passion and began teaching at South Prairie Elementary in Special Education. After 7 years at South Prairie, Tina moved to the NW Regional ESD in her position as Early Childhood Specialist. Tina’s favorite pastimes included pottery, reading, spending time in her garden and seafood feasts at the dinner table. Her dinner table was one of her most prized possessions and she loved to gather around with all her boys for dinner, conversation and laughter. Tina will be missed by all that loved her. A celebration of her life is planned for Saturday, January 6th, 2024, at 11am at the Tillamook Nazarene Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tina Weeks Memorial Scholarship Fund, 501 Main Avenue, Tillamook OR 97141. One of the last things Tina said to me was "My funeral, I want it to be a joyous celebration."
