Tina Yvonne McKinney (née Powers), born on November 5, 1971, in Watsonville, California, passed away on July 9, 2024, at the age of 52 in Portland, Oregon. Tina was a beloved figure, known for her outgoing, sensitive, heartfelt, loving, and caring personality.
For over a decade, Tina dedicated herself to her career as a school bus driver, a job through which she deeply loved and cared for the community she served. Her commitment to her work reflected her overall approach to life—full of love and dedication to those around her.
Tina was married to her husband, N.B.M., for 29 years, a union filled with love and mutual respect. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, particularly road trips along the coastline, always making sure to stop in Tillamook for ice cream—a testament to her love for small yet significant traditions.
An avid crocheter, Tina was exceptionally skilled with her crafts, creating numerous pieces that were both beautiful and heartfelt. Her dogs, Baby and Bear, were not just pets but cherished family members who brought immense joy and companionship into her life.
Tina leaves behind her loving husband, N.B.M.; her father, Paul Powers, and stepmother, Ann Marie Powers; her best friends, Laura Larkin and Cherie Gould; and her godson, Nickolas Dickson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dixie Powers, and her sister, Paula Powers.
Her legacy of warmth, caring, and the joy she brought to every life she touched will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
