Tina's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our treasured Tina Choiselat on October 14, 2023, survived by her beloved partner, Ryan Wilkin and canine companion, Tiki. Tina was born on August 30, 1988, to her loving parents, Lupe Pasillas-Choiselat and Ray Choiselat. She was the second of three children, with her older sister, Michelle Choiselat (Jason Ginsberg), and younger brother, Matthew Choiselat. She is also survived by her bonus sister, Gwen Souza and her niece, Karrah Choiselat.

Tina's early years were spent in Colton, California, where she cultivated a deep love for singing and performing. Her incredible voice left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of hearing her, and her renditions of popular songs showcased her immense talent. Tina's love for music extended beyond the stage, as she often enjoyed karaoke nights with friends and singing lullabies to her nieces and nephews.

In 2012, Tina decided to make Maui her home. Just two short years later, she met her longtime partner, Ryan, with whom she shared a profound and enduring love. She built sincere and lasting friendships, referring to her friends as her "Ohana." Tina also had a special place in her heart for her dog Tiki, often humorously remarking, 'I'm such a bitch for this dog.'

Tina was a vibrant spirit, unapologetically herself. She possessed a fierce determination and an unwavering sense of justice, earning her the nickname 'pit bull' from her work friends. She didn't tolerate entitlement or poor behavior and stood up for what she believed in. Despite her tough exterior, Tina had a heart of gold, and her catchphrase, 'I love you so much it's stupid,' demonstrated her deep affection for everyone she knew. She was a bold, brave, and inspiring presence in the lives of many, offering unwavering support and invaluable advice. Her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, and she will be missed terribly by many.

In memory of Tina, let us remember her vibrant spirit, remarkable talent, unwavering love, and fearless determination. She leaves behind a legacy of inspiration, generosity, and love that will forever resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
