Timothy's obituary

Timothy Aaron Whitmore passed into the loving arms of God at the young age of 35, on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Burnet, Texas. He died while doing what he loved, kayaking. Timothy shared his final days surrounded by family and beautiful scenery. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 25th at 3:30pm at Christian City Fellowship, 5243 Highway 36, Sealy, TX 77474. There will be a private family burial in Sealy, Texas.

Timothy was born on February 7, 1986 in Houston, Texas to Richard and Evelyn Whitmore. He was the third son of eight children. Timothy was an easy favorite with his big blue eyes, bright smile, and happy demeanor. Timothy had unmatched determination that he used to fiercely love those closest to him. Even from an early age, he had an incredible mind. He had an uncommon ability to memorize and recall passages from books, lines from movies with tone and inflection that he had not seen or read in years, as well as entire chapters of the Bible.

The simple pleasures of life brought Timothy the greatest joy. Timothy’s definition of luxury was a peaceful life shared closely and deeply with family and friends. He loved nature, kayaking, gardening, and exploring. His love for his family, and particularly for his nephews and nieces knew no bounds. He had an uncanny ability to find humor and laughter, even in the more mundane aspects of life. His laugh was contagious and brought joy to anyone who heard it and his depth of recall and quick wit kept you on your feet.

Timothy is survived by his loving parents, Richard and Evelyn Whitmore of Sealy; brothers and sisters and their spouses, brother Richard and Poii Whitmore of Big Spring, brother David and Amanda Whitmore of Katy, sister Sarah and Alex Montgomery of Montgomery, sister Emily and Elliott Barr of Spring, sister Victoria and Matthew Fennewald of Carrollton, brother Jonathan Whitmore of College Station, and sister Gloria and Travis Shaheen of Spring; and eight nieces and four nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hydrocephalus Association to find a cure for hydrocephalus and improve the lives of those impacted by the condition. Condolences may be sent to the family’s home.
