Tim W. Sparks, 57, of Mars Hill, died at his residence June 30, 2013.

A native of Gaffney, S.C., he was the son of the late Ruby Durham Sparks and James H. Sparks of Gaffney. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church in Asheville, N.C.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 12 years, Deborah Seagle Sparks; daughter, Ava Harrington (Alan) of Easley, S.C.; stepson, Braxton of New York; sister, Rachel Sparks; and brothers, Michael Sparks and James Tony Sparks of Gaffney; and two grandchildren.
