Timothy Erwin Savage lost his battle with cancer early Tuesday morning July 6th. Leaving behind his two children Damion Yelverton(Irene) of Garner, NC and Delia High-Savage of High Point, NC.
Timothy was born November 12th 1956 in Buffalo New York to Doris and Sylvester Savage. Shortly thereafter the family relocated to Smithfield, North Carolina to be closer to family.
Timothy excelled in his studies throughout school graduating with honors in 1974 from Sanderson High School. After high school he enlists in the United States Marine Corp. He proudly served in the Marines until 1984 when he was honorably discharged after sustaining an injury. Upon returning home he began working an as electrician and contractor. While working on a job site in 1988 he ran into his high school sweetheart Anita High, and instantly their love was rekindled. After many years of loving one another and raising their children the two decided to wed on June 2, 2013.
Tim was a very stoic man and definitely did not mince his words, but when he spoke it was always out of love and genuine care. To the familyand neighborhood he was the grill master with a great two step, a joke, and something to make you smile! He was truly loved by everyone and will be dearly missed by those that loved him most.
