Timothy Kevin Quirk
November 20, 1950 – November 4, 2024
It is with deep sorrow and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Timothy Kevin Quirk, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 73. Tim was born on November 20, 1950, in Smethport, Pennsylvania, and spent his life surrounded by those he loved and who loved him in return.
Tim is survived by his beloved children, Andrew Quirk, Amy Quirk, Katherine Bittner, Kelsey Quirk, and Jeannie Quirk; his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Bittner, Freya Quirk, Violet Bittner, Novalee Bittner, Mia Harper, Joseph Harper, and Myles Linderman; and his siblings, Susan Dowdle, Maggie Freeman, and Terry Quirk. Tim’s family was the center of his world, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
A man of great warmth and character, Tim had a passion for life that was reflected in his love of classical music, fine wine, and the connections he made with those around him. Music held a special place in Tim’s heart. Whether attending concerts at the Hollywood Bowl, or simply listening at home, he found deep solace and joy in the timeless works of great composers such as Leonard Bernstein, Mozart, and Rachmaninoff. He recently picked up his trumpet again, sharing the joy of music with others in his later years, reconnecting with a lifelong passion for playing and appreciating music.
Tim’s love of wine was another of his cherished interests, and he found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine or sharing a laugh with friends and family. His thoughtful, reflective nature and zest for life were evident in everything he did.
Tim was a friend to many, a gentle soul with a generous heart, and a constant source of support and encouragement to his loved ones. His sense of humor, loyalty, and vibrant personality will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at his home, 26055 Cherry Hills Blvd, Sun City, CA 92586. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating Tim’s remarkable life and the joy he brought to everyone he met.
