So sorry and saddened by this news. I met Tim as a classmate in 1971 or so…Tim was a creative, funny gregarious person. His support and smile always made you feel accepted and welcomed. I always enjoyed his love of seattle sports teams and sharing his experiences with them. May God give to you and all whom you love his comfort and his peace, his light and his joy, in this world and the next; and the blessing of God almighty, the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, be upon you, and remain with you this day and for ever. You may wonder why I posted a picture of a glass beer that appears to have an ice cube in it.  Of course, there is a Tim story in it.  First of all, in the late 80's it had been a long time since I had seen Tim. We had a few phone calls over the years after he moved to Cali but hadn't seen him.  One week I needed to go to San Jose for work. While there I was able to get together with Tim.  So here I am on a hot day and I meet Tim at his local hangout.  I had a beer (MGD was what I was drinking at the time) and Tim says, that's what he drinks too.  He asked the bartender to give him his usual beer.  They take a pint glass, fill it half full of ice and then hand the bottle of MGD to him with the glass.  He pours the beer over the ice and says to me: "I hate this stuff unless it is ice cold".  So that's the way he drank it.  Many years later, I'm in Hawaii.  I'm talking to Tim on the phone and complaining because my beer gets too warm, too fast in the heat and I'm not going to put ice in it like he used to.  He says: "Got a good idea.  Poor a little beer into your glass and put it into the freezer.  After it becomes ice then pour your beer in.  You're not watering it down, because it's frozen beer."  Brilliant!  I still do this to this day when in Hawaii.

Record producer Rick Ruben said an artist, when creating, should consider the audience last. The audience comes last. Tim was a very creative person. Even if he never played you a song or showed you one of his drawings…he gave you the truest piece of art he could share. Himself. Anyone that knew him knows he never gave you anything but truth. Few are so courageous to live life so open and honest. There was no pretending in his presence. He wouldn’t allow it. And we’re all better because of it. At least I am. I love you brother. Gonna miss you.
