Tim used to always give me a hard time about my food interests. The fact that I never tried different foods or was open to tasting different foods.  Now I've broadened my taste buds and try to eat things I've never tried before. So far I've had Corvina fish fresh catch, and Tile fish.  He couldn't get me to touch most fish before. And I add a lot more siracha to my meals which I also never used to do. It was one of the last conversations we had. I miss him every day.

Our heart goes out to Timothy's family. He took on orientation and freshmen year with us, becoming eternally bonded as shipmates in the process. Though he was with us for a short time, Tim left a lasting impression on us as the kindest, funniest, 38 year old freshman at our school. Words can't describe how much we miss him.

Uncle Burke will live on in the tide and winds of Massachusetts, and in the hearts and memories of his shipmates. Love and peace - His Shipmates

Timmy was one of those guys that you will never ever forget.  Larger than life and with a heart of gold.  It’s been years since I saw him last, but I’ll remember him for the rest of my life.

My son went to Mass Maritime with Burke. He told us so many funny stories about him and they stuck with us. The boys called him “Unc” as in “Uncle Burke.” We loved his story of perseverance and were rooting for him. I’m so sorry for your loss. With love from California, The Pierces
