A sad farewell to Sargent Tim. You were such a blessing to all the children (and their parents) in children's church in Pensacola. How time has flown and such sweet memories. “Disty Dofer” remembers you as a big, warm and friendly person to everyone but You made her feel loved and valued. And you could keep all the children’s attention. Your genuine loving & gentle spirit was a true reflection of Jesus. Matt and I are so thankful for our memories of church and family times together. Our sympathies and prayers to Jared and all your family. We know you are missed.
Went to church with Tim at Cathedral and knew him from other friends…I remember watching a Alabama/Auburn game with him and Billy; being a big Bama fan was not too easy during the game…Phillip
The Frank Bemis Family sends love and prayers, so sorry for your loss . Will never forget when Mr Tim took all 4 of our littles to Krispy Kreme when it first opened! Hats, donuts and milk-such a sweet memory!
Jarrod and family, I was so sad to hear about your dad’s passing. I just loved Mr. Tim - ever since I was five years old when we moved to Birmingham. He was always so kind and gentle whenever I saw him! I would see him some around the 280 area over the last few years and it was always so nice to get a hug, a smile and a “hey sugar” from him. Rest in Heaven, Mr. Tim. You are loved and missed and never forgotten!
My sincere sympathies and condolences to Jarrod, Stacey, Jude and Eva. Jarrod, I remember your dad helping your mom with classes at West. Plus I remember him being such a loving dad. Photos of him and your children show how involved he was with his grandchildren. Memories are the best! God bless you and your family! Love, Betsy O’Dell
Jarrod, Stacy, Jude & Eva, Joe and I were so sad to hear of Tim’s passing. He was a sweet, fun-loving guy who loved you all fiercely. We pray God will bring you peace and comfort as you grieve. Joe and Susan (Russell) Reeves
I worked with Tim on a few projects at BE&K back in the last century - wonderful guy, and fun to be around. I've thought about him several times over the years - and although our paths no longer crossed, it's sad to know he is gone. However, I know enough about Tim to know he's already in a better place. Thanks for the photos - my memory for names is fading, but I could tell it was him.
My heartfelt condolences to your family. I’ve known your father for many years. He was a faithful and compassionate man who prayed for my husband salvation. He eventually came to know the Lord and I know it was due to many prayers prayed through the years. We do not grieve as those who have no hope because your father knew Jesus He and Leland my husband are rejoicing now in Heaven. Thankful that I knew your father he was a sweet and tender man. Blessings as you travel this journey of grief. He will be missed.
We are so sorry for your loss Tim was a wonderful man who always had a smile on his face. I remember how he welcomes us to a small group at their house way back in 2001. He made us feel warm and welcome! We are grateful to have known Tim. Praying for comfort for you all.
Tim was such a great blessing to Stacey and me during our college days and the early years of our marriage. He gave us good Godly advice and was a role model for us. Many times people seem to forget those small impactful things that only eternity will reveal. Tim helped me as a new church board member and provided us with good Godly wisdom to help navigate life. Also, I remember when he left our church to help with a start-up church called "Church of the Highlands". What seemed like a small thing has turned into a mega church. We know that our salvation is not based upon works according to Ephesians 2:8:9 but it is own Grace and not works lest anyone should boast. I believe scriptures teach that God will reward us for the work done here on earth. Tim has done some good works, but it was by Grace that he was saved. Another huge work that he has direct responsibility for along with Connie is a fine young son who will proudly carry on the Allen name and the good work God has laid out. Also, Tim's initial work with Church of the Highlands continues to move on mightily. I appreciate Tim and his family. We will meet again one day in Heaven!
It so sad to hear about Tim passing away. He was always such a sweet person. He was a good friend to my late husband, Charles! Rest in peace old friend!
My family and I moved here from Baton Rouge to help start church of the Highlands. The very first time I met Tim he was helping our friends Wendy and Marcus move into their house. He said his name was Tim Allen/Tooltime Tim and I started laughing because I thought he was making a joke (that was in the height of the sitcom) . He said,” no that really is my name!” He was hustling and moving about and helping them set up their beds and had a drill in his hand. Tim was always very friendly, had a wonderful smile and gave bear hugs. He was so well liked and would help anyone with anything. We need more people like him now, he will be missed.
